Angus T. Jones

Jake Harper is the son of Allan Harper and his ex-wife Judith. Judith continues to use poor Jake to collect alimony from Allan. Jake is not very bright and is quite lazy except when it comes to eating, which makes him overweight. His schoolwork is lacking and his grades are way below average. Jake does not have it easy, having a father, a mother, uncle Charlie, and a grandmother who hated raising her own kids. Even through all of this, Jake seems to be a happy kid. Jake Harper is played by Angus T. Jones.

Angus’s Background

Angus was born on August 8, 1993 in Austin, Texas. Angus will be turning 15 this year (2008). His parents are Kelly Charles and Carey Lynn Jones. He has one sibling, a baby brother. Angus began his career more than 10 years ago at the age of 4 beginning with commercials. He was six years of age when he landed his breakthrough big screen role in See Spot Run. Angus is currently living in Las Angeles, California with his parents and baby brother; they also have a cat, a dog and a bird.

Angus’s Filmography

Angus started his career at the age of 4 doing commercials. His first big screen role was a small part in the French movie Simpatico in 1999. His breakthrough role was in the hit movie See Spot Run as James in 2001. Also in 2001 he played in the TV movie Dinner With Friends and an episode of ER. In 2002, Angus played in the award winning movie The Rookie alongside Dennis Quaid.

Then in 2003 he was given two big roles, one as Georgey in Bringing Down the House and George Jr. in George of the Jungle 2, he was also cast in a TV movie called Audrey’s Rain. Also in 2003 he started his role as Jake Harper in the still running Two and a Half Men. In 2005 Angus was cast in another TV movie called The Christmas Blessing.

Angus’s Awards

Angus has won three awards and has been nominated for two others. In 2002 he was nominated for the young artist award for his part in See Spot Run. In 2003 he was nominated again for the young artist award for See Spot Run. Also in 2003 he and the rest of the cast won a CAMIE Award for the movie The Rookie. In 2004 he finally won the Young Artist Award for his role on Two and a Half Men. Then in 2006 he won the Young Artist Award again for his role in Two and a Half Men.
